I built Income Options Lab because I found a way out of that cycle, and I believe it’s teachable.
My background
My background is unconventional for a trading educator.
My background is in the sciences. I hold an Honours BSc in Biology and went on to earn a doctorate in a healthcare field, training that demanded the same things good trading does: systems thinking, risk management, and disciplined decision-making under pressure.
I’ve spent more than 20 years in the markets, trading equities, futures, forex, and crypto across multiple cycles. I moved into trading full-time in 2020, and in recent years I have focused specifically on option selling, the disciplined, income-focused approach this whole site is built around. Today I trade options full-time alongside a long-term investment portfolio.
I’ve also had the privilege of learning directly from experienced, consistently profitable options trading mentors whose influence shapes how I teach today.
I’m in the market every day. Not as a theorist, but as an active trader constantly looking to improve. That daily practice shapes everything I teach. If a strategy isn’t holding up in real market conditions, it doesn’t make it into the curriculum.
What I teach
Most of what I teach is boring by design: risk-managed, repeatable strategies aimed at steady income and growth over time.
But before getting into the strategies, there’s one shift worth understanding, because it changes how you see the whole market.
Most options traders are buyers. They pay a premium for the right to profit if the market moves their way. The problem is that options lose value over time, and that decay works against the buyer from the moment they enter. It’s the equivalent of buying a lottery ticket that has a lower payout with each day you hold it.
Sellers are on the other side of that. They collect the premium upfront, and time works in their favour. They don’t need to predict direction. They need to be disciplined about what they sell, how much they risk, and how they manage what happens next.
That’s the foundation of everything we teach here.
The core of it is the Wheel Strategy, also known as the Triple Income Strategy: a disciplined cycle of cash-secured puts and covered calls on quality companies, designed for steady, repeatable income. That’s roughly 80% of what we cover.
The remaining 20% goes deeper: credit and debit spreads, LEAPS, condors, butterflies, strangles, calendar spreads, ratio spreads, PMCCs, swing trading common stocks, strategic portfolio hedging, and select short-term plays, always within clear rules and defined risk.
The goal isn’t excitement.
It’s reliability.
One more thing worth mentioning: we live in an era where AI is becoming an integral part of how we work, learn, and execute. Trading is no different. I’ll never remove the human element from this process. Good judgment, discipline, and experience can’t be automated. That being said, I do believe a hybrid approach is the way forward. Wherever AI can meaningfully improve how I deliver education, analyse opportunities, or support members, I’ll use it. The goal is always better outcomes for you.
Why this exists
Financial pressure doesn’t just affect your bank account. At its worst, it quietly shapes every decision you make. If left unchecked, it can lead to consequences that follow you for years.
I know this from the inside. And I built Income Options Lab because I don’t want that to be anyone else’s story.
Our mission isn’t simply to teach trading. It’s to give people a practical, honest exit from that cycle, by replacing financial stress with steady income and the freedom to make life decisions without money calling the shots.
That mission matters to me personally. But it also found the right vehicle: I genuinely enjoy teaching and seeing others win. I’ve spent years mastering this craft, and sharing what actually works — the knowledge, the tools, and the ongoing support — is something I care deeply about. There’s nothing quite like watching someone grasp a concept they thought was beyond them. That moment when the lightbulb goes on. Pairing that with a deep passion for options trading isn’t work. It’s my deep-rooted purpose.
