Earnings & Risk Disclosure
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Plain-English summary
Trading involves risk. Education does not remove risk or guarantee outcomes.
Options trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for everyone. Losses can be significant and can include the complete loss of the capital committed to a trade. Nothing Income Options Lab publishes, teaches, or discusses is investment advice, and no income, profit, or performance outcome is promised or implied. Every trading decision you make is yours, made at your own discretion and at your own risk.
The full disclosure follows. It applies to everything Income Options Lab produces, including this website, the books and companion resources, emails, videos, social media, coaching sessions, and any community or membership platform.
1. No advisory relationship
AJ Rostayee is not a licensed or registered financial adviser, investment adviser, portfolio manager, dealer, or broker in any jurisdiction. He is not registered with the Ontario Securities Commission, the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, or any equivalent regulator, and he holds no securities licence or professional financial designation.
Income Options Lab provides education. It does not provide investment advice, personalized recommendations, trade signals, alerts, managed accounts, or order execution, and it does not accept custody of client funds. Nothing published or discussed constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing should be read as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any particular security or to enter any particular trade.
Reading the material, purchasing a product, attending a coaching session, or joining a community does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or agency relationship of any kind. If you want advice specific to your own circumstances, consult a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
2. Options involve substantial risk
Options trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor. Option contracts can lose value rapidly and can expire worthless. It is possible to lose the entire amount committed to a position, and strategies involving margin, uncovered positions, or leverage can produce losses exceeding the amount originally invested. Assignment, early assignment, gap moves, illiquid markets, wide bid-ask spreads, and broker-initiated liquidations are all real possibilities, and none of them can be fully controlled by a strategy or a set of rules.
No framework eliminates risk. The material taught here is designed to help you manage risk deliberately rather than accidentally. That is a meaningful difference, and it is not the same as making a strategy safe.
Before trading options, read Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options, published by the Options Clearing Corporation and provided by every North American options broker. It is available at theocc.com. You should also satisfy yourself that you understand the risks of any strategy before you commit capital to it, and consider whether it is appropriate given your financial situation, experience, and tolerance for loss.
3. No earnings promise
Income Options Lab makes no promise, projection, guarantee, or representation regarding income, profit, return, or performance of any kind, and no such promise should be inferred from any material, price, headline, testimonial, example, or conversation.
No legitimate trading strategy can guarantee a particular income or return. Terms such as “income,” “consistent,” “repeatable,” and “monthly income” describe the objective and the structure of the approach taught. They are not statements of expected results and they are not a forecast of what you or anyone else will earn.
Your results will depend on your capital, your decisions, your discipline, your experience, your execution, your costs, your tax position, and market conditions, most of which are outside anyone’s control and all of which are outside ours. Many people who learn a trading strategy do not profit from it. Some lose money. That outcome is entirely possible here.
4. Illustrative examples and figures
Trades, scenarios, dollar figures, percentages, charts, and walkthroughs presented in any Income Options Lab material are illustrative and educational. They are used to demonstrate how a concept, a decision, or a mechanism works, and they are not representations of what any reader, student, or member will achieve.
Illustrative examples are simplified by nature. They may exclude commissions, fees, slippage, bid-ask spreads, taxes, assignment costs, financing costs, and the practical difficulty of executing at the prices shown. Hypothetical and backtested results carry the additional limitation that they were not achieved with real capital at risk and benefit from hindsight in the selection of the example. Past performance, whether hypothetical, historical, or actual, does not indicate future results.
5. Trades and results shared by Income Options Lab
AJ may share his own trades, positions, and results, including specific figures, whether closed or open, profitable or not. These are shared for information, education, and illustration only.
They are not recommendations, signals, or invitations to enter the same position. They are not a verified, audited, or complete track record, and they are not presented as a representative sample. They may reflect an account size, risk tolerance, time horizon, tax position, and level of experience that do not resemble yours, and the price, volatility, and conditions available at the time of that trade will not be available to you. A trade that suited one account can be an unsuitable or harmful trade in another.
Do not copy them. Do your own research and reach your own decision.
6. Coaching sessions
One-on-one coaching sessions are educational. They exist to teach process, review decision-making, and answer questions about the framework.
Coaching is not personalized investment advice and does not become advice because the conversation involves your account, your watchlist, or a position you hold. Discussing a specific security or trade in a session is a teaching illustration and is never a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold. AJ does not assess your suitability, financial circumstances, or risk profile in the way a registered adviser is required to, does not manage your money, and does not place trades on your behalf. Any decision you make after a session is your own, and Sections 1 through 4 apply in full to everything discussed in one.
7. Community and member-posted content
Income Options Lab operates paid community spaces on third-party platforms, including channels where members may post their own trades, positions, ideas, screenshots, and opinions.
Content posted by members is the view of that member alone. It is not reviewed, verified, endorsed, or adopted by Income Options Lab, and it is not advice. Income Options Lab does not undertake to monitor, moderate, fact-check, or correct member-posted content, and no member should rely on the presence of a post, or on the absence of a correction, as any indication that a trade is sound, suitable, or safe. Content may be removed and access may be revoked at any time, but nothing in this disclosure obliges Income Options Lab to do so or creates any duty of supervision.
Members are not permitted to solicit funds, offer managed accounts, sell signal or alert services, or hold themselves out as advisers within the community. Anyone considering acting on something another member has posted should treat it exactly as they would an anonymous post on the open internet, and do their own due diligence. Your trading decisions remain yours.
8. Scope, jurisdiction, and your responsibility
This disclosure applies to all Income Options Lab material and activity, on every platform and in every format, including the website, purchased books and companion resources, free resources, emails, videos, social media, coaching sessions, and community spaces. It applies regardless of where the content is encountered or when it was published.
Income Options Lab operates from Ontario, Canada, and sells worldwide. Nothing here is an offer or solicitation in any jurisdiction where such an offer would be unlawful, or to any person to whom it would be unlawful to make it. You are responsible for complying with the laws, regulations, and tax rules that apply to you where you live and where you trade, and for confirming that any strategy discussed is permitted in your account and by your broker.
You alone are responsible for your trading decisions and for their consequences. By using this website, purchasing any product, or participating in any Income Options Lab service or community, you confirm that you have read and understood this disclosure and that you accept sole responsibility for your own decisions and results.
